The Little Luggable is an ever-evolving project. The initial build took about 6 months elapsed, starting in December 2022, through to summer 2023. I originally used a Raspberry Pi 4 and have since upgraded to a 5.

The initial goal was to build a near off-the-shelf device and use a cheap pre-made keyboard—something to give me an excuse to visit Makespace, my local maker space, without requiring me to take on yet another large project. Needless to say, those lofty goals did not last long.

While using a cheap Bluetooth keyboard, it flexed in the 3D printed bracket and was uncomfortably springy while typing. I set about designing my own keyboard almost immediately.
